About This Spot

Pulling up to Its Nola Baaaby, you’re immediately caught by the vibrant hum of a neighborhood spot that’s as lively and welcoming as the city itself. Situated right on Tarpon Street, this isn’t just a place to grab a quick bite — it’s a destination where the rich aromas of spicy Cajun and Gulf Coast seafood mingle in the air, inviting you to slow down and savor the moment.

The pace here is refreshing: unhurried but bustling, with a steady stream of locals and visitors alike who know that behind this modest exterior lies something genuinely special. There’s a warmth in the greeting from the team, a sense they’re as proud of serving a great meal as they are to share a slice of New Orleans spirit with every guest. It feels less like an order and more like a friendly recommendation, an invitation to explore flavors crafted with care and a touch of boldness.

The experience flows naturally around the food — not just what’s on the plate, but how it all comes together. Imagine sinking your teeth into a fried catfish or a grilled cheese sandwich that’s rich with the essence of the bayou, balanced perfectly by the tang of Cajun sauces and sides that carry a hint of the city’s soulful energy. The tacos bring an inspired variety, from surf to turf, each bite layered with vibrant, fresh ingredients that tell a story of local roots and coastal inspiration.

Its Nola Baaaby feels like a place you revisit not just for the food, but for the whole vibe: the easy chatter, the shared joy of something well made, and the kind of down-to-earth hospitality that makes a meal linger in your memory long after the last bite. Whether it’s rain or shine, regulars show up knowing they’ll find food that’s as thoughtfully prepared as it is generously served, alongside that unmistakable New Orleans charm.

I recently visited ITS NOLA BABY and had an incredible experience! The moment I approached the truck, the aroma of delicious food wafted through the air, making me even more hungry! Lol I ordered a specific dish and they did not disappoint! The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, and you can tell that everything is made with fresh ingredients. The portion sizes were generous, and I left feeling completely satisfied. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the entire experience even better. They were happy to answer my questions and provide recommendations, which I really appreciated. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend checking out (ITS NOLA BABY) . I can’t wait to go back and try more items from their menu!

I’ve been coming here for over two years now, easily the best food in the whole city. The staff is always super friendly and the food is always hot and fresh. Storms lie down here in the rain. Can’t even stop me from showing up.

we heard a lot of good things and saw all the posts on social media so we had to come try the food while we were in New Orleans. we pulled up today right at closing time and even though they were already shutting down, they took our order anyway. their customer service is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ + the drinks are SOOO good. the food? BETTER than we expected and we KNEW it’d be good. everything is seasoned just right and has a ton of flavor. i’d come to new orleans JUST to eat here.

I stumbled upon this truck last December, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. I was hesitant at first due to the premium pricing, but the quality of the food absolutely justified the cost. The lobster tacos and strawberry kiwi twist quickly became my go-to items. Not only are they visually stunning, but they’re also packed with flavor. That said, I’ve been visiting about 1–2 times a month since then, and I’ve noticed a decline in consistency. On three separate occasions, my order was incorrect (e.g., asked for no lettuce, requested grilled but received fried). For two months straight, the Oreo/banana pudding (which I was really looking forward to) was unavailable. Even the presentation of the lemonade, which used to be a standout, has lost its visual appeal. To be fair, the last month has shown some improvement: my orders have been correct, and dessert has been available each visit. However, the lemonade still hasn’t returned to its former glory. Despite these inconsistencies, I’ll continue to support this truck because of the incredible food and the genuinely courteous people behind it. I just hope to see more consistency in quality, especially with my meal priced at $35+. Thank you all for the amazing flavors and experiences you bring looking forward to seeing you continue to grow

First and formeost Ora was a pleasure and was the individual taking my order. She was so helpful in making my order. I have been wanting to try them for a while and I'm glad my schedule allowed me to stop by and order. I decided on getting the surf and turf tacos and fries. I switched the jalapeño ranch for the Nola sauce just for personal preference. (I'm not a ranch person...but I got it on the side to try.) I also ordered the tropical lemonade w/ added strawberry. Starting with the tacos.... Listen! They were sooo good. They were stuffed to the max with perfectly seasoned ground beef and shrimp (could have used a shrimp or two more cause im greedy like that, lol) I did try the jalapeño ranch and it was definitely a spicy ranch but again, personal preference. I'm ok with my switch to the Nola Sauce. The fries were seasoned well but baby when I dipped it in that Nola sauce, it was the perfect bite. The lemonade was soooo pretty and it tasted like it looked. Definitely going back! What a treat!! I did pay extra for my extra Nola sauce. 2 for $1 and also make sure you have exact change and/ or keep in mind that there is a $1 fee for cards.

There are not enough words to describe how incredible this food was!! Order placed, and of course, the food was cooked to order. They provide you with large portions, and the flavor is absolutely amazing! The lemonade is very refreshing and perfectly sweet!! I cannot WAIT to go back and try more options!!
